The firm, which has seven offices across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, has promoted Clare Duffy, Karen King, Louise Jack and Emily Manley as it continues to grow in the region.
Clare is promoted to Partner in the Child Law team at the Cosham office. She joined the firm in 2013 after qualifying in 2006. She specialises in children law proceedings and representation of children in such proceedings. Clare is an accredited member of The Law Society’s Children Law Panel. To gain accreditation Clare demonstrated awareness, knowledge and expertise in children law proceedings. Clare has been highly engaged in the firm’s work in advising clients to achieve the best outcome for the children.
Karen has also been promoted to Partner in the Residential Converyancing team at the Fareham office. Karen joined the firm as a trainee in 2006 and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Karen’s work involves all aspects of buying and selling properties, shared ownership and help-to-buy. Since 2014 Karen has specialised in new build transactions working with a number of local and national house builders. Karen juggles her full time job and heavy workload with also being a busy mother.
Louise is promoted to Senior Solicitor in the Child Law team at the Cosham office. Louise joined the firm in 2015 as a trainee and qualified in 2017. Louise is also an accredited member of The Law Society’s Children Law Panel, demonstrating her awareness, knowledge and expertise in her field. Prior to choosing law as her career path, Louise worked as a dive instructor in Asia!
Emily is promoted to Senior Solicitor in the Wills and Probate team at the Lee on the Solent office, Emily qualified in 2016. Emily specialises in wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and estate administration. As a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practioners, Emily has been highly engaged in the firm’s work in advising vulnerable elderly clients and has also trained as a Dementia Champion.
Churchers Solicitors Managing Partner Ian Robinson said: “We were delighted to offer Clare, Karen, Louise and Emily promotions this year and we are looking forward to seeing them flourish in their new roles.
“All four have shown exceptional qualities and determination in promoting their areas of expertise and supporting colleagues. We are proud and delighted to have these women play an even greater role in helping to grow and develop the firm in 2021.”
Last year was a difficult period for everyone. At Churchers we managed to keep working through the various lockdowns continuing to serve and support our local communities. This is in no small way thanks to the dedication and hard work of all our staff. Churchers continues to expand its offering with the addition of new solicitors and trainee solicitors.
