Churchers like to support as many local charities as they can and last week Managing Partner, Ian Robinson, attended the Isle of Wight Zoo, Party at the Zoo event, where he presented the zoo with a donation of £1,000.
After a very difficult background in a travelling circus Kumba and Vigo were rescued by AAP Animal Advocacy and Protection Primadomus where they remained in purpose built facilities whilst a forever home was sought. Isle of Wight Zoo is that forever home, and they feel incredibly lucky to now have them.
Both Vigo and his brother were castrated before they turned one which has meant that they have not developed manes; the other result has been that they have grown incredibly large!
Our donation will be a great boost to the fundraising.
The zoo is dedicated to engaging, involving and empowering people from both the heart and the head – one of its most important tasks is to convert ‘care’ into ‘action’. It is also committed to providing a life-long, loving home to rescued big cats and other animal residents and the team work holistically to ensure each individual has an enriched and meaningful life.
For this reason Churchers are more than happy to support such a great charity.
