Criminal Defence
Tom’s legal career started in London in 2006, carrying out criminal work in London as a Police Station Representative before qualifying as a Barrister in 2008. He practised out of chambers in London and Chichester, covering a broad range of cases in the Magistrates and Crown Courts from motoring offences to matters relating to serious violence, sexual offences and drug offences. He also has significant experience in Child Protection Law, including cases involving addiction, serious harm to children and complex mental health issues.
Tom is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn and has regularly volunteered with them as an advocacy tutor, training student barristers to be effective advocates in court.
Tom joined Churchers in 2024 and is working as part of the criminal law team. His work is supervised by senior members of the team.

Tom enjoys eating good food and attending and participating in live music events.
