Claire has also developed a substantial clinical negligence practice, dealing with claims involving pressure sores leading to amputation, missed or delayed diagnoses of cancer, and surgical errors in both private and NHS settings. Claire has secured compensation for her clients ranging from £10,000 to £142,000.
Claire has been awarded Accredited Litigator status by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), recognising her high standards and specialist expertise in handling personal injury and clinical negligence claims.
Probate Disputes
Disputes concerning an estate can arise for a variety of reasons, including challenges to the validity of a Will, claims against an estate for reasonable financial provision, clerical errors in a Will, or the need to remove an Executor or Personal Representative who is not carrying out their duties properly. Whatever the reason for the dispute, and whether you are bringing or defending a claim, Claire can assist.
Claire has successfully helped clients settle claims against estates due to inadequate provision in a Will, make applications to the Court to rectify clerical errors in a Will, and challenge Executors regarding the performance of their duties. She has also advised on disputes between Trustees.
Joint Ownership Disputes
If you cannot reach an agreement with a joint owner of your property regarding what you should receive for your share, Claire can assist. She has extensive experience in helping joint owners reach settlements that are fair and adequately compensate them for their share of ownership and their contribution to the property.
Claire has successfully negotiated settlements and has also pursued claims through the Court process. She has a strong track record of helping parties reach agreements without the need for Court proceedings due to her excellent negotiation skills.
Whatever your reason for needing Claire’s services, she approaches every case with understanding, empathy, and care. Claire will listen carefully to your situation and understand what you hope to achieve. She will provide practical advice on the options available to help you achieve your desired outcome and will always provide a quote for the work required, enabling you to make an informed decision about how to proceed.
