Criminal Defence
Jason qualified as a solicitor in 1998 He is a police station and court duty solicitor and has worked throughout London and the South east. Additionally he has obtained the right to represent clients in the Crown Court.
He has also worked for the Innocence Project in New York.
Jason undertakes the full range of criminal defence, from advising in the police station, to representing adults and youths in the Magistrates Court to conducting jury trials in the Crown Court.
He has represented clients prosecuted by the local authority for selling counterfeit or illegally imported products such as tobacco, which often include complex Proceeds of Crime applications.
Jason has a particular interest on assisting and representing armed forces personnel appearing before Court Martials, and is routinely asked by the armed forces to undertake such work have built a solid reputation in this particular area of criminal defence.
He is a Legal Aid supervisor so supervises colleagues, as his work in turn is supervised by senior colleagues in the department.
